“Moving Day” is built around the idea that perhaps our years on Earth are not simply the passing of time, but a maturing process for eternity.
We arrive in this world unfinished. Through childhood, youth, adulthood and old age, we slowly ripen through everything life places before us. We experience love and loss, joy and sorrow, success and failure. We make mistakes, learn forgiveness, gain wisdom, form relationships and discover what truly matters. All the while, something within us is being shaped and prepared.
We tend to think of growing older as approaching the end. “Moving Day” looks at it differently. Perhaps we are not wearing out-we are becoming ready.
And when our time here is complete, we leave behind the possessions and trappings of this world and take with us something far more valuable: everything our journey has made of us.
At the end of the song, a moving truck is being loaded. The last things are put aboard, the metal rolling door comes down and closes, the engine starts, and the truck slowly pulls away.
It is Moving Day.

A steady soft rhythm provides the momentum as layers of synthesizers drift, weave, and evolve around it, gradually loosening the grip of the everyday world. There is no luggage to pack and no destination on the map. The "moving day" happens entirely inside your head.
Settle back, turn up the headphones, and let the rhythm do the driving. Thoughts begin to fade, gravity loosens its grip, and before long you're lifting off toward another mind-space.
