Hot Chocolate
music by J. R. Rothrock
When God made man, I believe he built men for strength. When he made woman, I think He really focused on both strength and beauty. I am not sure what beings from other galaxies appreciate, whether there are male and female species, but I like things simple. Having two teams is hard enough to keep track of! What I have learned, though, is that "pretty" comes in all shapes, sizes, and hues. I also understand that external beauty fades, so unless that beauty runs deep, the light will fade as time passes.
"Hot Chocolate" is a smooth, playful look back at the younger years, when beauty could stop you cold from across a crowded room. Set inside a glowing bar lined with pretty faces, the song follows one unforgettable moment-a stunning dark-skinned woman leaning back with quiet confidence, locking eyes from the far end of the bar.
Beneath the fun and attraction, the song carries a deeper truth: outward beauty can fade with time, so the light inside a person matters most. Still, in theose younger days, we often first notice the spark on the surface before discovering what runs underneath. "Hot Chocolate" captures that mix of desire, admiration, innocence, and reflection with a warm, soulful, sexy vibe and an appreciation for beauty that feels rare and unforgettable.
