"The good ole days..." I certainly believe this statement to be true, but also believe that understanding that "these days" are the only days we have remaining, so, we'd better find a way to make them future "good ole days". I can honestly say that, looking back, I have enjoyed every stage of my life so far. There have been periods that were more enjoyable and less painful than others, but overall, it has been an amazing ride, and I am truly grateful for the wonderful friends and family with whom I have shared the ride. It is fun to reminisce and treasure memories of people and days gone by, as long as you remember to re-enter the present at some point. We spend so much of our time with our feet tromping on the gas pedal; it is nice to be at a point in life where everything is not measured by daily productivity. I also am a firm believer that if you have connected with someone in the past, regardless of the time that has passed, you can pick up where you left off. I don't want to relive my childhood. I am happy to be where I am on life's highway. Anyway, it is doubtful that I would survive that ride twice.
