If you have ever been truly "in love", then it's possible that you might also know what it feels like to lose a love. I watched my dad suffer through my mom's slow and painful exit from Planet Earth back in 1983. It was heartbreaking. In many ways, a sudden loss of true love entails similar emotions to the loss of a loved one from death. In some ways, it may even be worse, because it involves choice; usually a choice by one to sever a relationship between two. It was a rainy day in early November, and this was the path on which my imagination led me... I was not in a sad mood... that's not me. I was deliberately experiencing part of the spectrum of emotions that God blessed us with.
